JetBoat BOB'S Fish Shop "Chainsaw Art"

My fascination with the Gulf of Mexico's brightly colored array of fish and my knowledge with the chainsaw compelled me to create my own duplicate of mother natures beauty.

No time was spared  to get the size, length and colors of the fish I wanted to carve. I would go fishin', catch a few, then take pictures  as soon as the fish were landed. Many experienced fishermen and women claim my chainsaw art captures the color and beauty of the fish.        

I grew up in Minnesota, spent my whole life with fishing rod in one hand, shotgun in the other. The chainsaw was another part of my life that was always there. Mostly for fire wood, but at one point I even bought a sawmill.

I moved to the gulf coast in 2005. The life style is very different and so are the fish. One day a good friend showed me a wood carving of a fish; that was the start of a new hobbie for me. The carving came very easy. I bring  life to a piece of wood, and that gives a new joy in my life.

 My only goal now is to share with you a big smile when you hang one of my fish on your wall.
